The Activities Coordinator will develop, provide, and document therapeutic activity services to adult inpatient clients.
Meet regularly with clients; perform therapeutic activities assessments; oversee unit group programming and curriculum.
Provide recreation therapy groups to clients, as well as order and manage supplies for the groups.
Provide orientation and direction to MHTs and nurses regarding groups and group activities.
The Activities Coordinator meets regularly with clients in the course of providing services, with staff on a daily basis to coordinate care and with the treatment team in the course of staffing.
This position also interacts with clinical and support staff within the broader organization staff, as well as external referral sources and those serving the same clients.
Minimum Hiring Requirements Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or closely related degree in human services field.
One year experience highly preferred CTRS or similar certification preferred.
Can be working toward certification with registration within 18 months of employment.
